Reston is still doing things right in my opinion. My mother-in-law was recently in two different hospitals including Reston, and the difference was very noticeable. I think all the doctors in both hospitals are doing a good job, but it was the nursing staff and extra attention that made the difference. Thanks RHC.
Will happily never return to Reston Hospital Center in the future. During our stay, there were few workers who showed any type of bedside manner, most were plain rude and seemingly overworked. It was such a shame to receive this type of poor service and attention. Do yourself a favor and seek care elsewhere. We highly recommend Sibley Hospital - where we eventually got the care and attention we needed, without feeling like a “number”.
I was sent home in full labor. 4 cm dilated and contractions were every 4-8 minutes. I was told I wasn't really in labor. I had my son 3 hours later at home on my staircase with his umbilical cord around his neck. so thanks reston hospital my son nearly died because of your scrappy doctors and nurses. good riddance I hope they decide to shut you down. I should've known with my first son whrn the nurse was yelling at me to stop pushing. I wasn't pushing he was coming out because he was ready to. I can't help the fact my body was doing this on its own impulses. but thanks I will not be returning for any reason.
I was in the emergency room a week ago. Reading all those nasty comments I had to check if I was at the right place. Every member in this hospital is very nice and they give their 150% to their job. Everyone working there is super careful and caring. I see nothing wrong with this hospital except that it is perfect.
November 3 2017 my boyfriend and I gave birth to our first child. We were left in the delivery room for 15 minutes or more by the nurse basically with my boyfriend coaching me to push considering our baby was coming. Not only that but my son spent a lot of the time at the hospital being hungry cause he was having trouble latching and there was no advice given by the nurses as to what I could do other than them telling me to “just keep trying”. He continuously had choking spells and coughing to the point where he was losing his breath and physically exhausted and besides multiple tries of calling for help only two nurses came to help with fluid built up in his chest. They DID NOT give proper instructions for how to clean his belly button, and they DID NOT explain to us how to clean him after his circumcision. Disrespectful, careless, rude, and CLEARLY ignorant. NEVER again will I go to this hospital.
